About Heather

"Wherever you go, there you are."
Buckaroo Banzai

Heather first used her hands to heal when she was nine, placing them on her mother and brother and praying to relieve their pain - her mother from rheumatoid arthritis and her brother from cerebral palsy. She and her family were in awe of the intensity of the heat that radiated from her hands during these sessions. Heather knew from the beginning that this amazing power came from outside herself, and felt very blessed that she could access this healing energy for those she loved.

By the time she reached college, Heather’s friends and acquaintances came to her for healing minor injuries such as bruises, scrapes, and muscle strains, as well as for emotional comfort and counseling. Later in life, Heather’s healing touch and intuition helped and guided her in working with her own children’s developmental disorders.

In October 2003, Reiki Master/Teacher Diane Bevan Radliff trained and certified Heather in Reiki I, which focuses on hands-on healing, and in May 2005, she trained Heather in Reiki II, a more intensive training that exponentially increases the healing energy that the Reiki practitioner can access, and makes distance healing possible.  In November 2006, Heather received Advanced Reiki Training (ART) and Reiki Master Training from Kathie Lipinski, a Senior Reiki Master/Teacher for the International Center of Reiki Training; Heather is now an Usui/Tibetan Reiki Master. (In the Reiki tradition, a "master" is a teacher, not an all-knowing expert - we never stop learning!)  She has studied independently to bring crystal healing into her practice, is working toward certification in ministerial counseling, and plans to train in other healing modalities, such as reflexology.

Having both provided and experienced the healing power of Reiki, Heather truly wants to help people find their own peace - physically, emotionally, and spiritually. She welcomes the whole family (up to and including pets!), as she knows firsthand that when someone suffers, their caregivers and every member of the family are affected. Reiki is especially helpful for relieving stress, and is a deeply relaxing experience.

Heather lives with her family in Tempe, Arizona.  She practices and teaches in the Phoenix area (primarily the East Valley), and periodically returns to the Philadelphia area to teach and to give hands-on Reiki sessions.
